A inventarli fu il genio dello chef amalfitano Enrico Cosentino nel 1978, che li presentò a un concorso culinario internazionale e vinse subito il premio entremetier dell'anno 🏆

Ma il nome... quello è pura poesia! "Scialatiello" viene dall'unione di "scialare" (che significa godere,) e "tiella" (padella). È più di una pasta: è un'esortazione a "godersi la padella"! ✨

Queste listarelle irregolari e corpose, arricchite nell'impasto originale con latte, pecorino e tanto basilico profumato, sono nate per sposare i sapori della Costiera. Non a caso, il condimento che le ha rese celebri in tutto il mondo è quello a base di frutti di mare e pomodorini 🍤🍅

L'opera di Giuseppe Sanmartino, scolpita nel 1753, rappresenta il corpo di Gesù coperto da un velo di marmo così realistico da sembrare vero tessuto.
La leggenda vuole che il principe abbia utilizzato un processo alchemico per rendere il marmo morbido, ma la verità sta nell'incredibile maestria dell'artista, che ha saputo infondere vita in una pietra, facendovi dubitare della natura stessa del materiale 🌌
