We built a gym this winter.
Then we took out the treadmill.

Not because we forgot — because Salina has volcanic paths that climb through the capers, a coastline of salt and black stone, and Stromboli smoking on the horizon. Running on a belt facing a wall would have been a small insult to all of that. So: a Pilates reformer (Filippo’s idea), weights, a yoga mat, a bike, an elliptical. A room for feeling good, not performing. And next to it, an infrared sauna with a relaxation lounge and a massage space. Private. Bookable.

Every time I travel somewhere new I book one on the first day — not to relax, exactly, but to reset. To actually arrive. I wanted that for the people who come here still carrying the noise of wherever they left. We are calling them the Terracotta Rooms.

They open with Season 10 — which, somehow, is this one.
Welcome back to the island. 🌋
