Es gibt kaum etwas Schöneres, als den Tag mit frisch gelegten Eiern zu beginnen. ☀️ Wenn man weiß, woher sie kommen und wie glücklich die Hühner sind, schmeckt es gleich noch besser.🥚🐔
Non c'è niente di più bello che iniziare la giornata con uova fresche di giornata. ☀️ Sapere da dove provengono e quanto siano felici le galline le rende ancora più buone.🐔🥚

Passionate about ecology and alpine habitats... we have a surprise for you!

🎁 The new website for our open-air laboratory in the Matsch/Mazia Valley is now online. The unique outdoor lab has been the subject of scientific research since 2008 and is part of the international network for long-term ecological research (LTER).

📍 This valley in South Tyrol is one of the driest regions in the Alps, with only around 650 millimetres of rainfall per year and as such, is considered a natural precursor of the changes that await us...

🏞️ From today, visitors to the new website can explore the area’s different habitats along an altitude profile ranging from 1,100 to 2,700 meters: from species-rich meadows and forests to arid pastures and glacier areas.

📊 Real-time meteorological data, comprehensible descriptions of research methods and the most important results are available for each measuring station. The site is complemented by information on the history of this research site and further scientific publications.
