Nel cuore del Rione Vetera, l’Edicola Votiva di Santa Rita da Cascia torna nella sua sede originaria dopo un attento intervento di restauro conservativo promosso da Vetera Matera.
Un gesto di cura e restituzione alla comunità, nato dalla volontà di preservare un elemento della memoria del Rione e restituirlo al luogo che lo ha custodito nel tempo.
Giovedì 24 settembre, presso l’ingresso di Vetera Matera, si è svolta la cerimonia di ricollocazione dell’edicola nella sua sede originaria, alla presenza delle istituzioni, della proprietà, del team di Vetera Matera e delle restauratrici che hanno seguito l’intervento.
Un momento di condivisione che racconta il legame profondo tra Vetera Matera e il territorio che lo accoglie: un impegno verso la tutela della memoria, delle tradizioni e dell’identità dei Sassi.

On Thursday, September 24, at the entrance of Vetera Matera, the ceremony for the shrine’s return to its original location took place, with the participation of institutions, ownership, the Vetera Matera team, and the restorers who carried out the intervention.

La musica incontra il panorama dei Sassi di Matera.

Giovedì 24 settembre, dalle ore 18.30, Amonì Terrace ospita “Sul Giradischi”, una serata dedicata alla musica in vinile, a cura di Alessandro Stefanio.
Tra le luci della terrazza e la profondità della città antica, la musica accompagnerà la serata in un equilibrio tra suoni, incontri e suggestioni, arricchita da selezioni gastronomiche e calici da condividere.
Un momento da vivere ad Amonì, lasciandosi guidare dal ritmo e dalla bellezza del paesaggio.

On Thursday, September 24, from 6:30 PM, Amonì Terrace hosts “Sul Giradischi”, an evening dedicated to vinyl music, curated by Alessandro Stefanio.

Ci sono luoghi che custodiscono la memoria di una comunità e che, nel tempo, tornano a raccontare la propria storia.

Giovedì 24 settembre, dalle ore 17.30, Vetera Matera celebra il “Ritorno alle origini” dell’Edicola Votiva di Santa Rita da Cascia, con la sua nuova affissione nel luogo in cui è nata: il Rione Vetera.

Dopo il delicato percorso di restauro e la messa in sicurezza durante il cantiere, l’opera torna finalmente alla sua collocazione originaria, restituita alla città e ai suoi abitanti.

Un momento di condivisione dedicato alla storia, alla devozione e alle radici di un luogo che continua a vivere attraverso la sua memoria.

On Thursday, September 24, from 5:30 PM, Vetera Matera celebrates the “Return to Origins” of the Votive Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, with its new installation in the place where it was born: Rione Vetera.

After a delicate restoration process and its protection during the construction works, the artwork returns to its original location, once again belonging to the city and its residents.

A moment of sharing dedicated to history, devotion, and the roots of a place that continues to live through its memory.
