Hi out there! It's Caro and Timo - the owners of RoncoNuovo hideaway. Ronco Nuovo is a small hamlet just a few minutes above Valchiavenna. A couple of years ago we arrived here to buy and restore some old stables - converting them into our private family hideaway. It's a special place, something we created just for ourselves.

But things evolved since then. A few years later we bought and renovated another property at the edge of Chiavenna's old town. And created Bottonera casa vacanza. We've been previously working in various start-up's, but this became our first one in the hospitality sector, although we didn't think of it that way. However it turned out that we thrived quite a bit in our role as hosts.

We therefore decided to create a new private home for ourselves and in turn make our original "baite" available for guests seeking a very special close-to-nature experience during their time off.

Two of our three baite will be available for rent to smaller groups of 4-6 persons already on selected dates in 2026 - to be published soon.
