DID YOU KNOW? 🏙
A curiosity about Torre Velasca
DID YOU KNOW? 🏙️
Torre Velasca looks almost like a medieval tower… but it was born in the heart of post-war Milan.
Designed by the BBPR architectural studio and built between 1956 and 1958, its iconic “mushroom” shape is not just an aesthetic choice: the upper floors, designed as apartments, needed more space than the lower floors.
The result? A modern skyscraper that looks to the past and is still one of the most recognisable features of Milan’s skyline.
Milan always finds a way to mix old and new.
