Babila Hostel & Bar is a unique design hostel in the heart of Milan! Babila Hostel Milano was inaugurated on the 15th of September.

The elegant and sophisticated building is located in the heart of the Milan fashion quarter, just a short walk from Piazza San Babila. Babila Hostel is a result of a deep restructuring of the west wing of the Victory Column Institute, founded in 1896 by the then Cardinal of Milan, Andrea Carlo Ferrari, who has decided to open a Catholic school in the city. It fits in the tradition of the most mode

rn European Hostel: smart solution for backpackers and dynamic travellers (with dorms), measured on the needs of families (solutions with 4 beds) or traditional travellers (with private rooms). Beside the accomodation, Babila Hostel welcomes everybody to concerts, programs and cultural happenings in the Bistrot area, and offers a delicious variety of food wines and cocktails! 🌇 Milano ad agosto ha un segreto.

Prima ancora di diventare il luogo internazionale che conoscete oggi, questo edificio faceva già parte della storia di Milano.

Costruito nel 1895, il palazzo neogotico di Via Conservatorio ha ospitato per molti anni una scuola cattolica. Poi, nel 2017, è iniziata una nuova vita: quella del Babila Hostel & Bistrot.

Ma trasformare un luogo non significa necessariamente cancellare ciò che è stato.
Per noi, conservare questo edificio significa mantenere un legame con il quartiere, con la sua storia e con le persone che lo hanno vissuto prima di noi.

Abbiamo scelto di far convivere passato e presente: mantenere l’anima e le caratteristiche originali dell’edificio, portandole dentro uno spazio nuovo, giovane e internazionale.

Oggi qui dormono viaggiatori da tutto il mondo, si incontrano persone, si condividono storie, si ascolta musica e si brinda insieme.

Forse è proprio questo il bello dei luoghi con una storia: cambiano le persone, cambiano le funzioni, ma le mura continuano a raccontare.
Before it even became the international place you know today, this building was already part of Milan's history.

Built in 1895, the neo-Gothic building on Via Conservatorio housed a Catholic school for many years. Then, in 2017, a new life began: that of the Babila Hostel & Bistrot.

But transforming a place doesn't necessarily mean erasing what has been.
For us, preserving this building means maintaining a connection with the neighborhood, its history, and the people who lived there before us.

We chose to make past and present coexist: to maintain the soul and original characteristics of the building, bringing them into a new, young and international space.

Today, travelers from all over the world sleep here, meet people, share stories, listen to music, and toast together.

Perhaps this is precisely the beauty of places with a history: people change, functions change, but the walls continue to tell.
