In Milan, when frost traces the edges of fallen leaves and the temperature finally drops below zero, it can only mean one thing: it’s Cassoeula season. ❄️🍂

The most iconic winter dish of Lombardy:
slow-braised cabbage, pork cuts – ribs, rind, trotters (and yes, even the tail!) – served with a generous spoonful of warm, creamy polenta.
A true comfort food, born to warm up the coldest days.

A little grappino before is almost mandatory…
And if you prefer bubbles, a glass of Franciacorta makes the whole experience beautifully light. 🥂

Yesterday we went to try it at Osteria Testina, and it surprised us with its authenticity!

Milan knows how to amaze — especially at the table. ❤️🍽️
