Aww Man.
I hated poetry. Yeah I said it. I find most of it tedious & pretentious, & from childhood I always thought if it didn't rhyme, it didn't count. I'm a heathen.
This man's work made me see the value of the art, & how it can elicit emotions in a way I never thought possible.
And his stories reflected my specific black British culture.
This one's a shocker.
