From Monday through Thursday our guests can stay for dinner, a carefully prepared three course vegetarian dinner. We love honest and fresh flavours, following the season.

The Sabine Hills are famous for their olive oil. The landscape is a patchwork of olive groves, woods, pastures, vegetable gardens, vineyards and some more olive groves. In the restaurant we use our organic olive oil and it really is addictive!

We serve breakfast every morning. Homemade bread, jams, yoghurt, granola, a seasonal fruit salad, cake, local cheese. The best way to start your day and explore the countryside!

Here we are. Another season of Le Mole sul Farfa is behind us. We’re taking a break and will open our doors again in March 2026.

It seems a long period and in a way it is, but it flies by! There is quite some outdoor work that needs to be done, trees to be pruned, fences to be maintained, etc. We’re planning the new year (with a couple of retreats), I bought myself some new cookbooks. It’s also the perfect time of the year to reflect back on what has been and turn inwards for a bit.

The first thing that comes to mind is, as always, a big thank you for all those who came to Le Mole. Thank you for trusting us with your holiday, short or long. Even more than ever, it’s not easy to make a business stand out on the internet in a way that feels aligned with our values. So for every booking we receive we are truly grateful and happy to share the beauty of this place with our guests!

Welcome to all the new faces here! It’s time to introduce ourselves again.

Le Mole sul Farfa is a farm and guesthouse in Sabina, an hour north of Rome, run by Stefano and me, Elisabeth. The guesthouse is an old barn that was rebuilt and has 5 rooms, that all have a view on the green valley of Farfa. We serve breakfast every day and from Monday through Thursday our guests can stay for dinner too. From June until September the swimming pool is open and the whole year round the river Farfa is at a 15 minutes walk from Le Mole. Our farmland is mainly olive groves, there are dozens of fruit trees and we have a vegetable garden.

Stefano is originally from Rome and I’m Belgian. Stefano takes care of the maintenance of the building, the land, the pool, the donkeys. And you can find me most of the time in the kitchen, preparing sourdough loaves, pies, jams, pasta, etc. And to take a little bit away from the idylle: quite some time I’m behind the computer as well. :)

We love living here, and love sharing all the beauty with our guests!

We’re not super active on this app, but silence here probably means that we’re doing lots of things elsewhere.

Trying to do justice to an incredible week. The Visual Wanderings art retreat with .c.stark was everything we could have wished for: a diverse and harmonious group of people, stunning weather, a varied program, nourishing food, and an overall relaxed yet focused atmosphere.
