One of the questions we get asked most often:
“Are your names really Carlo and Carla?”
Well… yes and no.

Carla is actually Carla.
And Carlo? His birth name is Charles, but Carlo is simply the Italian version of the same name.

We chose CarloCarla because it felt personal, warm and easy to remember.

But CarloCarla is more than a name.

We cook. We serve. We clean rooms. We make jam. We harvest olives for our own olive oil. We maintain the garden. And most importantly, we’re always here for our guests.

When you stay with us, there’s no reception desk and no anonymous service.

🌼A sea of yellow, right on our doorstep🌼
There are moments in spring when nature simply takes over the landscape... and this is one of them.

Around our village of Monte San Pietrangeli, the countryside is currently wrapped in glowing fields of rapeseed. From our home, we look out onto a brilliant yellow canvas stretching as far as the eye can see.

It’s a plant so simple, almost humble on its own… yet when millions of flowers bloom together, the effect is almost overwhelming. A yellow so intense it almost hurts the eyes, in the best possible way.

The whole area turns into a patchwork of green and yellow, a living quilt surrounding us here in the Marche countryside. A true spring gift.

And while we are fully enjoying this golden season, we can’t help but already look forward to what’s coming next… the endless sunflower fields of June 🌻

Each season here brings its own kind of beauty. You just have to pause long enough to see it.
