On a few occasion a year, to keep these unique moments personal and special for the future bride, groom, invited guests as well as ourselves, we are happy to assist in organizing an unforgettable wedding in our 800 year old converted monastery situated 5 minutes drive from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Vino Nobile wines.
Accommodation: At Sant' Antonio in the country side, we are able to accommodate a maximum of 36 people in 13 different accommodations depending on bed set up and layout (see below for accommodation for an extra guests within a 1 minute walking distance) and can cater for up to 50 seated guests in the converted ex stables (dining room) or up to 120 on our terrace overlooking the Tuscan country side, forests, farmland, rolling hills and olive groves.
Elena and Nico, the hosts, are available to assist with our selected caterer and Chef Patrizio in organizing the full reception at Sant' Antonio including catering, classical music, opera & entertainment, photography, lighting, transport for the wedding, floral arrangements, hair dressers, liaising and booking the town hall for a civil wedding or ideas that the future couple may have.
If you prefer to organise the wedding reception at a winery or restaurant we will be happy to liaise and put you in contact with the owners to arrange the ceremony.
Extra guests: In the historic town of Montepulciano, 5 minutes drive from Sant' Antonio we have accommodation for 15 extra guests or between 15 seconds and a 1 minute walk, we can accommodate an extra 30 guests to sleep in accommodations owned by our colleagues close by.
Fun activities for your guests during their stay: During your stay at Sant' Antonio, Nico & Elena will be happy to organise wine and olive oil tasting in our local wine growing regions and selected renown wineries as well as cheese tasting, historical tours with professional guides, recommend and book therapies and massages, organise walking hikes and cycling tours in the country side and combine food and wine tasting menus in local restaurants & wineries.
The Wedding & Reception: Wedding reception and location on the property varies on the time of year (season) and chosen menus, wines and individual set up of the decor. In general, a reception would include an "outdoor" reception aperitif hot & cold buffet on one of our terraces with splendid views of the Tuscan country side, an open bar with live opera or classical music, followed by a full sit down dinner perfectly combined with local wines in our "Sala" or out-door in the garden under the Tuscan Stars depending on the weather and personal requests.
Additional costs:
Marquis & tents, if required are with additional charges depending on the type and can be set up on one of the terraces.
Services for those staying at Sant' Antonio: Accommodation rates include:
- Free 24 hours internet connection / WIFI which is available around the pool, terraces, gardens and accommodations.
- There is no charge for car parking (at Sant’ Antonio in the country side) or the use of our private 3.4km running / walking track that winds through the olive grows, farm lands, rolling hills and oak forests with stunning breathtaking views behind each corner.....
- Firewood for accommodations with an open fireplace and central heating during the colder seasons.
- All the apartments of Sant’ Antonio are self catering and are fully furnished with linen, towels etc and all kitchen utensils.
NOTE: Linen is changed twice a week (every 3 nights); on your arrival and mid week. For extra cleaning or linen changes, additional charges will be applied accordingly.
- NB: As from the 1st January 2012 the Italian Government has placed a €1.00 tax per person per day (not applicable to children under 11 years) staying in any type of accommodation. This tax is not included in the accommodation rate and has to be paid in cash (Euros only) when settling the final account.
Extras:
Not included are extra cleaning services (apart from as mentioned above), catering, beverages or consumptions of our own family produced wines / olive oil, personal laundry services, transport, car hire, classical live music & entertainment, SAIE licenses for the latter, church / council / document arrangements or legal translations to be married in Tuscany as a non speaking Italian as per Italian law etc. flower decorations and arrangements, special lighting and personalised decorations, personalised printing, photography, video, hair dressers & beauticians and any extra requests or equipment.
