Villa Tavolese has a new family. The Aurino family has taken over the management and operation of the Villa Tavolese. From left to right: Giorgio, Imma, Giovanni and Cristina being introduced by Fernando to this unique panorama: a breathtaking view of Tuscany.

A gentle reminder from our friends at Villa Vita, there are so many places you will want to visit while staying at il Borgo:.... Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city is an ancient town on a hill on the border between Lazio and Umbria in Italy. Built on a hill and connected to the rest of the world only by a bridge over the valley, Civita is dying, slowly eaten by time. It's an amazing site but it's not included in most Italy vacations. I love sending my clients to see these extra special experiences. Bgnoregio is at border between Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany. It will take just over two hours from il Borgo (chaffeur driven cars available) and you may want to include a nice lunch at nearby lake Bolsena. Enjoy the day out..

October 1, early morning mist rising from the Montespertoli valley, a Hot Air Balloon appears in the distance almost wanting to park in front of il Borgo Pictures captured by our Marta, she gets up early to prepare the "Breakfast Basket" for the guests. Wish we could all be there to see the balloon taking a stroll over il Borgo.

Looking for a full day excursion out of the ordinary from il Borgo? Why not visit La Scarzuola where is the ideal city invented by Architect Buzzo. it will definitively surprise you.
You may drive to the ideal city via the Autostrada (Impruneta to Fabro) and a few kilometers on you will get there: Just over two hours from il Borgo. Or you may chose to drive via Siena and Betolle and join the Autostrada to Fabro and on to La Scarzuola, it will take you about half hour longer. In both cases you will have a thrill to see this ideal city.
When you return to Il Borgo you may be a bit tired but with a glass of prosecco, you will be pleased to have visited this enchanting place.
