Our farm extends itself on top of a hill in the countryside of Montopoli in Val d'Arno, about 1 km away from the medieval town, and is surrounded by vast vineyards and olive groves with a panoramic view of 360 degrees. The stable with the horses, the cellar where our Chianti DOCG wine is made and our extra virgin olive oil is stored all surround you, turning your stay with us into a full immersion
into authentic, relaxed country life. The house lies on a panoramic position on the highest hill. A large house with three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with bath and both with shower, full equipped kitchen, recreation room with TV, DVD, library, stereo, fully equipped barbecue area and outdoor veranda for relaxing while enjoying views to take your breath away. Walk takes you to the barn with our poultry and just a few steps further the bouquet of our Chianti DOCG will draw you in our wine cellar where you cannot help tasting also our oil. Not far away we'll let you know our sweet horses. Our sports association, "Il Solicchio" has the aim to diffuse love and respect for horses and riding / handling knowledge to anyone who loves world that surrounds these beautiful animals. We have an arena for riding lessons of 20m x 60m where private and group lessons are kept. Under our guidance, is also possible to participate on hacks in our beautiful countryside; we think that there is no better way to fully enjoy a territory, its scents and colors than doing it in the saddle. The entire farm lies in an area of animal reserve. Therefore you can find various wild animals typical of the area, such as hares, pheasants, wild boars, porcupines, foxes and hawks that nest in our land. Often in the morning, looking out the windows you can see hares that run between the rows of vines and pheasants with their offspring in tow who certainly do not mind (unfortunately for us!) a hearty meal based on our grapes! A kilometer distant lies the village of Montopoli in Val d'Arno, where you can stroll within its old walls and discover its treasures and historic scenic trails. The parish church of S.Stefano, the tower of S.Matteo, the Arch of Castruccio Castracane, the Piano della Rocca, the Civic Museum and much more will satisfy also your need for culture. Do not forget the strategic, central location of Montopoli in Val d'Arno. In fact, Montopoli is one of the central exits of the highway FI-PI-LI, a major route that helps you reach the most stunning cities of Tuscany such as Florence, Pisa and Livorno in about 30 to 45 minutes. At the same time, it gives you fast access to other routes bringing you to Lucca and Volterra, and with a little more time to Siena and San Gimignano. Smaller destinations, but still of great interest and at less than 30 minutes drive are: San Miniato with its Fortress of Frederick; Vinci, town of that genius of Leonardo; Artimino with its Medici villas; Calci with its Carthusian monastery; the castle of Lari and many others.
