When we first began to envisage Moncarlino, I wanted every room to have a story to tell. That’s why, over the years, I’ve personally sought out furniture, objects and antiques that I felt would be at home on the estate.

Some I found in faraway places; others I came across almost by chance. I wasn’t necessarily looking for something perfect, but for something with character, a story to tell and a beauty that would stand the test of time.

Today, it is precisely these details that make Moncarlino what it is: an estate in Monferrato, but above all a place that I love to share with those who come to stay here.

Quando abbiamo iniziato a immaginare Moncarlino, volevo che ogni ambiente avesse qualcosa da raccontare. Per questo, negli anni, ho cercato personalmente mobili, oggetti e pezzi di antiquariato che sentivo potessero appartenere alla tenuta.

Alcuni li ho trovati in luoghi lontani, altri li ho incontrati quasi per caso. Non cercavo necessariamente qualcosa di perfetto, ma qualcosa che avesse carattere, una storia da raccontare e una bellezza capace di durare nel tempo.

Oggi sono proprio questi dettagli a rendere Moncarlino quello che è: una tenuta nel Monferrato, ma soprattutto un luogo che amo condividere con chi viene a soggiornare qui.

In Moncarlino, the peace and quiet begins the moment you step through the gate: plenty of private greenery, loads of space all around, and no noise except that of nature. What if you could enjoy all this with your dog too? Dogs are always welcome at the estate because we believe that a break from the daily grind is even better when you don’t have to leave anyone at home.
So, tag someone who’d love to set off with their adventure companion. We’re sure they’ll love all this vast green space too.

A Moncarlino la tranquillità comincia appena varchi il cancello: tanto verde privato, molto spazio intorno e nessun rumore, se non quello della natura. E se potessi vivere tutto questo anche con il tuo cane? In Tenuta sono sempre i benvenuti perché crediamo che una fuga dalla routine sia ancora più bella quando non si lascia a casa nessuno.

E ora: tagga chi partirebbe volentieri con il suo compagno di avventure. Siamo sicuri che tutto questo immenso spazio verde piacerà anche a lui.

At some point, you realise you haven’t been looking at the time for a while.

The sun has moved on, and the water is just a few steps away. All around, there’s nothing but greenery, with the chirping of cicadas and birds breaking the silence every now and then.

For a few hours, there’s nothing to do, and that’s precisely the beauty of it. In Moncarlino, the swimming pool is just that: a place where time flows and doesn’t need to be filled, but simply savoured moment by moment.

A un certo punto ti accorgi che è da un po' che non guardi l'ora.

Il sole si è spostato, l'acqua è lì, a pochi passi. Intorno, solo il verde, il canto delle cicale e degli uccellini a spezzare di tanto in tanto il silenzio.
Per qualche ora non c'è niente da fare, ed è proprio questo il bello. A Moncarlino la piscina è anche questo: un posto dove il tempo scorre e non deve essere riempito, ma vissuto attimo dopo attimo.

Why did we want a sustainable property?

We wanted to make a dream come true: a welcoming place that is both beautiful to look at and environmentally friendly, one that does not merely occupy space within the Monferrato landscape, but is an integral part of it. We chose eco-friendly and natural materials for the furnishings and the restoration of the walls, as well as energy-efficient solutions. We wanted to show that sustainability is neither a sacrifice nor a compromise, but pure beauty and comfort. Today, Moncarlino is a place where luxury stems from an awareness of responsible impact: because enjoying a dip in the pool is even more rejuvenating when you know that the energy powering it comes from the very same sun that warms our Monferrato vineyards.

Perché abbiamo voluto una struttura sostenibile?
