Linger on, Winter

Villa Vendicari goes through the change of season. Winter fruits give way to Spring blossoms. Igor, the guardian, gets itchy. We are busy getting it together. 'Il cielo di passione', the passion sky or whatever maybe a suitable translation, Sicilians assume, is what God wants for the Easter period, and it invariably hovers in on us this time of the year (only to get sunny again... and again:).
The season is changing, and we're loving it...

No, it's not a silhouette cubiste representation of villa_vendicari's architect or land artist. It's actually the land project which, 10 years on, we feel has been broadly respected. What's funny is how evocative it can be to its 'parents'- In hindsight it actually really looks like a human silhouette, with the parking as an air pin, the houses her eyes, the pergola her nose, the lawn the head and chin. A thin elongated body as its path to the pool. The swimming pool and its pergola as her feet. Yet so beautifully lush, with all those green/gray dots growing organically by the day 😍

Walk ~1 mile East out of Villa Vendicari and you reach Vendicari beach, turn Northbound by the water, go through the highly evocative Tonnara di Vendicari, another half a mile and you reach this spontaneous art and the rocky beach behind it (yes, it's not only sandy beaches here:)
