Brigitte‘s Elderflower Syrup 🌸🤍

The taste of summer in a bottle ☀️

Ingredients

40 elderflower blossoms
8 lemons
30g citric acid
1/2 glass fruit vinegar
3 liters of water
3kg sugar

Method ✨

Place the elderflowers, citric acid, fruit vinegar, water and the lemon pulp in a large container. Leave to infuse for 2 days. Strain the liquid, add the sugar and bring to a boil. Pour into clean bottles while still hot.

The result is a homemade syrup full of summer aromas - perfect with sparkling water, ice cubes and a slice of lemon.

This elderflower syrup is also the base ingredient for a classic Hugo, one of South Tyrol‘s most beloved summer aperitifs.
