September at Villa Lena, at its richest. Grind pigment straight from the land with Jake Paul White. Sit for a matcha ceremony and paint a silk wedding scarf with Asako Kawachi. Paint from observation with Avishai Platek, or gather leaf and bark into watercolour with Avital Cnaani. It’s vendemmia season, the best time to taste our wine, walk the vineyards and join our Tuscan culinary experiences. Live alongside arrangements from our special in-house florist, Sare Harvell. Evenings bring Al Pagoda live, in collaboration with BIGAMO Musik, the Villa Lena Foundation’s 2026 partner.

It’s wedding season on the estate too, check out our last slide for when Osteria San Michele will be closed for private events this month.

Lisa Schmidl our yogi in residence leads her practice across three classes: Morning Flow, Flow & Sound, Restorative & Sound, and Sound Meditation.

As the evening cools, the holds get longer. A practice that eases you toward the end of summer, instead of fighting it.

Eliza Groth, one of our current Creative Contributors, is a multidisciplinary artist based in London, working across fibre & painting. A graduate of Studio Art and International Relations from the University of Texas, she questions the line between art and craft, particularly global craft traditions historically associated with women in domestic spheres.

All August, she brings that instinct to three workshops on the estate: Process Painting, paintbrushes attached to long bamboo sticks for collaborative, large-scale painting; Torn Landscapes, collaging with tissue paper inspired by the late, q***r artist Etel Adnan; and Paper Weaving, strips of colour cut and crossed into patterns. Family friendly and no experience required!

Ferragosto, the most beloved holiday on the Italian calendar We’re spending it at the San Michele Pool.

Morning Flow with Lisa Schmidl, flower printing with Gardener Paul, a clay workshop with Sisse Holst Pedersen, then the Ferragosto Feast with : a grigliata, pizzas from the forno a legna, and live music from Honingbeer , the solo project of Dutch violinist Marthe Lasthuis, here through our residency with BIGAMO.

Handbuild a teabowl with Sisse Holst Pedersen. Write on pleasure and attention with Anastasiia Fedorova. Turn plaster into sculpture with Sally von Rosen. Evenings bring Honingbeer live in collaboration with BIGAMO Musik and yoga and sound with Lisa Schmidl among the cypress trees.
