rty con Ernesto Basile, uno dei più importanti architetti italiani dell’Ottocento. Con i significativi guizzi e decori cari all’Art Nouveau, l’architetto palermitano, progetta con proprio talento, modifiche importanti all’interno del Grand Hotel et Des Palmes, destinato a divenire uno dei luoghi più importanti di vita mondana “fin de siècle”. In cerca di ispirazione per completare la sua ultima opera, l’illustre compositore Richard Wagner vi soggiornò con la moglie Cosima Liszt in una suite rivolta sulla silenziosa strada, la Presidential Suite oggi dedicata al grande musicista.
