In the evening, when the day gets cooler, Peschiera del Garda is a lovely place for a walk — and it's only a short walk from the village.

Walk along the old Venetian walls, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Look at the boats in the canals, enjoy a gelato and find a nice spot to watch the sunset. It's an easy walk, good with a pushchair or with older children.

"Can we have a barbecue?" is one of the questions we hear the most — and the answer is yes.

You can rent a barbecue at the market, or bring your own. Just one important rule: only charcoal barbecues are allowed in the village — no gas and no electric ones.
You can also buy charcoal at the market, so you have everything you need on site.

Then comes the best part: good food, the family around the table, and a long summer evening outside.

Eating well at Del Garda is easy. There's a small market inside the village, just a few minutes from your holiday home.
It's not a big supermarket, but it has the basics and more, including gluten-free products. Breakfast on the veranda or a simple dinner at home is easy to prepare, without going into town.

And when you don't feel like cooking, the restaurant, pizzeria and bar are here too — to eat in or take away.
