It’s June! That means tons of zucchini and their glorious flowers from our garden 😍 We prepare them stuffed and fried in batter and the zucchini goes into every type of pasta, with some parmigiano.

The Palio dei Micci (donkey race) was first held in 1956 and soon became the most important historical-folklore event because it carries on the traditions of Maggi, typical plays held in the country courtyards and arenas in the last century in Versilia.

More than 2000 costumed figures take to the city streets dressed in splendid costumes as princes and queens, warriors and chancellors, knights, scholars, jesters and peasants, to animate the most beautiful spring festivity, a fairy-tale day.
