Quarta Giovanni Gabriele, investendo pionieristicamente nel turismo, lo acquista dal Ministero del Turis
mo e Spettacolo. Locale “cult” nella memoria collettiva di molte generazioni di salentini, è oggi una struttura ricettiva unica ed il luogo ideale per una vacanza di assoluto relax. Annesso all’hotel, il ristorante “Isola Lo Scoglio”, l’isola dei sapori mediterranei, con piatti tipici e tradizionali di mare e di terra da gustare nella terrazza con incantevole vista sull’Isola Grande. The Hotel Isola Lo Scoglio lies on a natural island of Porto Cesareo lagoon. In 1848 the island was one of the property of the local nobleman Barone Della Ratta. During the forties a heiress of Princes of Belmonte chose it as her summer residence. Just after the Second World War the noble residence became a small boarding-house with restaurant and dancing, the meeting-place of the smart set during the sixties and seventies, when Mr. Quarta Giovanni Gabriele bought it from the Ministry of Tourism.
