Karl Egger and his sister restored two old dilapidated buildings in Radda di Chianti in Tuscany by finding the perfect balance of rustic and modern style. They are situated in one of Italy’s most beautiful areas with its characteristic hilly landscape where historic places and well cultivated vineyards with terraced olive groves emerge between wide oak forests. Since the restauration is finished,

In addition to the villas, the Egger family also runs a successful winery which is also located in the heart of the Chianti region. On more than 10 hectare, the winery “Castiglioni” comprises vineyards where mainly Sangiovese and Merlot are grown. The winery is run by Karl Egger and his friend Sean. Since the beginning, it is important for them to ensure organic farming which you can even taste in the outstanding quality of the wine.
