If you are visiting Rome and want to see as many of the sights as possible then this is the place for you. Within a ten to fifteen-minute walk there are attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and the Villa Borghese. The tradition is that visitors should throw a coin into the fountain to ensure a return to Rome in the future. Just a short walk from the Trevi fountain are the Spanish Steps, the widest steps in Europe and one of the city’s most famous attractions. The view from both the top and bottom of the steps is fantastic. The area should be visited for its amazing architecture and wide range of shops and cafes. The area is packed with restaurants, cafes, trattorias, boutiques and the Villa Medici is also a must-see. You are within easy access to the magnificent Piazza Popolo that dates back almost two thousand years, while many of the city’s famous sights can be reached on foot (Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori or Pantheon). There are numerous buses in the area and the nearest metro station is Barberini.
