Set in the baroque Palazzo Pamphjli in one of the world’s most famous squares, Rome's Eitch Borromini has one foot in the 17th century and the other firmly in the here and now. The result is a five-star time travelling experience where yesteryear collides with the present. Romance oozes from every inch of this family-run endeavour whose rooftop terrace takes in an iconic scene of historic Rome: Piazza Navona. As the hotel’s namesake suggests, each of its six floors were constructed by the acclaimed architect Francesco Borromini. They are brimming with intricate frescoes and pop/contemporary art exhibitions on loan from Borromini Art Gallery. A mesmerising open-air terrace is tucked between the bell tower and the dome of Santa Agnese church and the first floor is home to the Pamphili private library lined with famous and rare books and manuscripts. Eitch Borromini feels like a private palace and movie set (reminiscent of La Grande Bellezza by Paolo Sorrentino) and it has unbeatable 360-degree views of legendary Rome. The Palazzo's patio forms part of the Terrazza Borromini restaurant where locals and guests are treated to a menu that honours classic Italian/Mediterranean cuisine and fresh ingredients
from local regions. Authentic Italian flair also flows through each of the 22 rooms and suites where original fireplaces, high vaulted ceilings, walk-in wardrobes and marble bathrooms featuring emotional showers are standard luxuries. Each one has been carefully decorated to reflect their unique character and frames the city perfectly through oversized windows.

Eitch Borromini è una Residenza Storica di charme situata all'interno di un palazzo del XVII secolo progettato da Francesco Borromini. Un vero e proprio museo immortalato in film e spot, che si affaccia su Piazza Navona, nel cuore di Roma. I nostri ospiti possono fare colazione davanti alla fontana dei Quattro Fiumi del Bernini, sotto le campane della chiesa di Santa Agnese in Agone e dormire in suite con affreschi che risalgono ai tempi in cui papi e cardinali ne abitavano le stanze. Le ampie camere vantano arredi raffinati e un connubio tra dettagli moderni e caratteristiche della costruzione originale con tutti i confort. Soggiornare, pranzare o solo visitare una mostra all’interno del palazzo equivalgono letteralmente ad abitare la storia.

In Rome, some stories only appear when you look up.
Tor Millina takes its name from the medieval tower just beyond its window, a piece of the city that can easily go unnoticed from the streets below.

From inside the room, the perspective changes. The tower becomes part of the view, and part of the reason this room has its name.

These beams have been up there since the 1600s. And nobody has ever touched them.

No plaster, no cosmetic restoration. Just raw wood, exactly as it was above the heads of those at the Collegio centuries ago, and whoever sleeps here tonight.

In Rome, it is almost impossible to find something this authentic and unfiltered.

Queste travi sono lassù dal Seicento. E nessuno le ha mai toccate.

Niente intonaco, niente restauri estetici. Solo legno grezzo, esattamente com'era sopra le teste di chi
studiava al Collegio secoli fa, e di chi ci dorme stanotte.

A Roma è quasi impossibile trovare qualcosa di così autentico e senza filtri.
