🇬🇧Aperitivo is everything! But what means actually?�.�In Italian culture aperitivo is an opportunity to open your appetite, to ready your stomach for the amazing food on the horizon. It's believed to have initiated in Piedmont in the 18th century, when King Vittorio Emanuele II embraced a spiced white wine called vermouth as his pre-dinner drink of choice.�.�Is there anything the Romans didn’t do, because it turns out they already knew how to throw together fairly elaborate aperitivi in their times. The richest members of Roman society were known to titillate their tongues before banquets and dinners with alcoholic drinks and, of course, a plethora of delicious amuse-bouches. It wasn’t called aperitivo, mind, but gustatio, a tasting if you will. Its aim was that of getting people to mingle before a banquet and favoring socializing.�.�Central to the moment was the mulsum, a highly alcoholic wine usually mixed with honey (a common habit in Ancient Rome) and flavored with spices.

Nella cultura italiana l'aperitivo è un'opportunità per aprire l'appetito, per preparare lo stomaco per il fantastico cibo all'orizzonte. Si ritiene che sia iniziato in Piemonte nel XVIII secolo, quando il re Vittorio Emanuele II abbracciò un vino bianco speziato chiamato vermouth come bevanda preferita prima di cena.
C’è qualcosa che i romani non hanno fatto, perché si scopre che sapevano già come mettere insieme aperitivi abbastanza elaborati ai loro tempi. I membri più ricchi della società romana erano noti per solleticare la loro lingua prima di banchetti e cene con bevande alcoliche e, naturalmente, una miriade di deliziosi stuzzichini. Non si chiamava aperitivo, mente, ma gustatio, una degustazione se vuoi. Il suo scopo era quello di far socializzare le persone prima di un banchetto e favorire la socializzazione.
Al centro del momento c'era il mulsum, un vino altamente alcolico solitamente mescolato con miele (un'abitudine comune nell'antica Roma) e aromatizzato con spezie.�👑�.�
