Do you know Tripadvisor.com? They say help people to find the best hotel, but Tripadvisor.com don't say they take commissions for any reservation. Tripadvisor.com don't say they get money from the hotels who want to buy more visibility on the search results.
What the traveller can do? Can you take the real advantage from tripadvisor.com? Yes!!! Get discount using tripadvisor.com, take informations of the hotel you like and then go to google and look for the website of that hotel, only like this you can find the direct contact of the hotel and ask for a 5% discount. Any hotelier will be happy to take a direct reservation and give to the traveller a discount.
Better when a traveller write a review should write suggest to reserve on the hotel's website. It's easy. just google the name of the hotel and the address to find the hotel's website and make a discounted reservation.
