On this day, many families decorate their Christmas trees and nativity scenes (presepe), a beloved tradition! Rome's Christmas Tree, which returns to its new location of Piazza del Popolo for the second year in a row, is to be illuminated TODAY at 18:00.

It's also a time for festive meals - lasagna, roasted meats and rich desserts like panettone.

Living like a local...

📍Trapizzino

A Trapizzino is very simple and yet somehow manages to be incredibly satisfying. It was created by Stefano Callegari in 2005, who, with a creative stroke of genius, found the one way to make pizza even better. It is essentially a pocket made of white pizza and filled with a filling, usually a meat or vegetable second dish that traditionally would be impossible to take to go.

It makes the perfect quick lunch, or snack for the road. 😋
