LUDI ROMANI FESTIVAL FROM 09/09/2012 TO 18/09/2012
Ludi Romani, Festival Internazionale della Civiltà e Cultura Romana, is held every year between the last of September and the beginning of October in diffent locations: Museum of Roman Civilization (Museo della Civiltà Romana) in EUR, Traian Markets and Villa di Massenzio. Historical recreations, theatrical representations, and glimpses of daily life in the settings typical of the time, all specially staged in the museum’s halls, offer the most simple, immediate way to experience and learn about the civilization of Imperial Rome from up close.

During the “European Heritage Days” entrance to public museums, monuments and archaeological sites will be free
European Heritage Days (EHD) is a joint action of the Council of Europe and the European Commission involving all 49 signatory states of the European Cultural Convention under the motto, Europe: a common heritage. The annual programme offers opportunities to visit buildings, monuments and sites, many of which are not normally accessible to the public. It aims to widen access and foster care for architectural and environmental heritage. These events are also known as Doors Open Days and Open Doors Days in English-speaking countries.
