Hotel Barocco Rome

Hotel Barocco Rome Boutique Hotel • Piazza Barberini, Rome • Where luxury meets centuries of history
(356)

Overlooking Bernini's Triton Fountain, the Barocco is a boutique hotel with just 37 rooms (and a staff of 22!) located in an old aristocratic building in the heart of Baroque Rome. Carefully refurbished in 2017 to offer guests superior standards of comfort and style, the Barocco has followed the example of leading international hotels, becoming 100% smoke-free.

Not every room worth knowing is in the main house.

A few steps from Piazza Barberini, past a door most guests never notice, the Dépendance keeps its own quiet hours, the same soft light, the same white linen, the same lamp switch within reach of the pillow, but with the hush of a private address rather than a hotel floor. Here, dolce far niente comes standard.

Some hotels are remembered for their size. Others, because someone at the front desk remembered your name.

Luxury Lifestyle Awards has named us Best Luxury Boutique Hotel in Rome, Italy 2026.

Three words in the citation: authenticity, personalisation, a sense of place. They are what we try to put into practice every day, from the first welcome in the lobby to breakfast served at your table.

Thank you, Luxury Lifestyle Awards. And thank you to those who, returning to Rome, return here too.

They named this room after the square outside - and then, almost by accident, dressed it in the square's own colours.

The blue on the linen is the blue the fountain water turns at dusk. The stone under bare feet is travertine, the same pale gold that paves half of Rome. Even the tulips on the nightstand seem to know exactly where they are.

Junior Suite Piazza Barberini: the one room in the house that tells you, without asking, where you're standing.

There's no buffet here. Only colazione, cooked to order, one plate at a time.

This morning: an egg poached soft enough to spill at the first cut, toast still warm, fruit chosen more by colour than by season, and coffee poured the size it's meant to be: small, dark, and entirely serious.

Nobody hurries breakfast at Piazza Barberini.

There's a minute every morning when Piazza Barberini isn't quite a piazza yet: just light slipping through the curtains, and a bed still warm with sleep.

Someone opens the curtain, not the door. Rome can wait a little longer.

Buongiorno Roma, from a palazzo that has watched four centuries of mornings just like this one.

Every evening, the same quiet choreography.

A twist of citrus caught in the low light, a curl of smoke that rises just long enough to be noticed, then settles, the way good service always does.

Il Salotto keeps one of Rome's oldest hours alive: the one after dinner, when conversation slows down and somebody always asks for one more.

Some evenings aren't meant to end quickly.

Rome doesn't wake with us, it gives us a head start. The curtains slide open, the light enters slowly, the Triton stays quiet for another moment. Then the city begins its day. And we begin ours.

Rome once had a decade when the evening began on a bar stool.

At Il Barocco, it never really ended, same soft light, same slow gestures, same barman who already knows your usual.

Rome just chose her favourite address, the one facing Bernini's Triton.
Hotel Barocco has been named Best Luxury Boutique Hotel in Rome, Italy 2026 by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards ✨

It's a recognition we quietly cherish, because it says out loud what our guests feel every morning: the light warming the travertine of Piazza Barberini, the hush of a private terrace overlooking the square, breakfast served à la carte as the Triton Fountain wakes below, the staff who greet you by name, the timeless calm of the Salotto Bar.

Not a monumental hotel, a private residence in the heart of the Eternal City, where Trevi, the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese are all a short walk away.

To everyone who has ever woken up in front of the Triton and called it home: this one is yours.

Save it for your next Roman escape and tell us, which corner of Rome would you open your window to first? 👇

Three rooms. Three ways to do Rome.

The one built entirely around light.
The one with a private terrace above the city.
The one with Bernini's fountain outside your window.

Which one is yours? 👇
