This Loft Is a delightful cottage with garden in the center of Rome. This loft is located in a strategic position, in the historical San Lorenzo neighborhood. The area, near the University La Sapienza, is among the most valuable of the city with its typically bohemian style thanks to the many bars and restaurants that animate it. Well connected with all means of transport, the best aspect of this cottage is the silence and tranquility that is guaranteed notwithstanding its central location.
Lodging
Loft San Lorenzo is a new construction created from the recovery of an industrial building: it is part of a residential complex of detached houses with terraces from what was formerly a ceramics factory. The residence is a true rarity in the center of Rome, because even though it is in the center of the city, the complex is quiet with a lot of greenery and with comforts and conveniences such as three private entrances, a garage, a backyard, a garden etc.
The house of about 80 square meters is fronted by a small private courtyard, equipped and shaded, enjoyable in all seasons and almost indispensable to really get the magical air of Rome. The house, though smallish has every comfort and many amenities: security system, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, heating, dishwasher, oven etc. It is furnished with taste and design furniture and every space is organized to be taken advantage of to the fullest.
Loft San Lorenzo
It is on three levels:
- The First floor with large bright bedroom, equipped with a basin, many cupboards and a small private balcony.
- The Ground floor consists of a spacious living room, with a huge window overlooking the courtyard, with dining table, sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom. All this is complemented by the real strong point of the house: the beautiful courtyard in the front, furnished with a table, chairs and deck chairs.
- Through a trapdoor and down a fine spiral staircase, made by the historic neighborhood blacksmith, you enter the small room below with sofa bed, wardrobe and desk.
- The house also comes with a garage for car, motorcycle or bicycle.

The neighborhood
San Lorenzo is now known around the world for its many bars, "happy hours", cafes and restaurants, and the students and artists who populate this historic district of the capital. It is the cultural navel of Rome with its associations and its thousand souls. Situated between the two main railway stations - Termini and Tiburtina - it was the district of the proletariat, the workers and antifascist, and today is a cultural laboratory and community.
It is one of the few districts which, although cosmopolitan and multicultural, still maintains a strong identity and soul of a town inside a city. A few steps from the Aurelian walls, San Lorenzo is known for its namesake basilica of San Lorenzo outside the wall and for being the place where students, who attend the university La Sapienza, live.The neighborhood is also very close to the main monuments of the city, also within walking distance, such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and San Giovanni. Villino San Lorenzo is just 3 km from the Colosseum, 4km from the Trevi Fountain and less than 5 km from the Pantheon.
