This Vignale-Bodied Cisitalia 202 SC was first registered in Uruguay to a wealthy enthusiast. After several owners, it was acquired by Maurizio Leonesio of Brescia, who entrusted it to Carrozzeria Quality Cars of Vigonza in the 2000s.

The Cisitalia was researched and restored, before being shown at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and the 2011 Mille Miglia Storica. It was later shown at Pebble Beach and The Amelia.

It is now in the care of Dr Susan Kendall, making its public debut under its new ownership at Anantara Concorso Roma, where it won the Special Award “LO SPIRITO DELLA PASSEGGIATA”.

Winner of the Special Award “LA BARCHETTA PIÙ ELEGANTE” at Anantara Concorso Roma. The Ferrari 500 TRC—with its low, elegant Scaglietti bodywork—remains one of the most beautiful and refined sports-racing Ferraris ever built. Among true enthusiasts, few front engined Ferraris are as significant as the sophisticated four cylinder TRCs, where pure proportions and exceptional driving pleasure come together seamlessly.

The sixth of just nineteen examples produced in 1957 boasts an impressive competition record: five Targa Florio entries, a Monte Pellegrino Hillclimb victory, and 12th overall with third in class in the final Mille Miglia.

From 2014-2019, the car underwent a complete restoration conducted by Ferrari Classiche, carried out with the passion of its dedicated collector. Today it stands restored to its most authentic splendour, embodying the purity and racing spirit of Ferrari’s early years.

The TZ2 (Tubolare Zagato 2) represents the exclusively competition-oriented evolution of the Alfa Romeo TZ — lighter, lower and even more focused in its pursuit of performance.

Built between 1965 and 1967 in only eight examples, the TZ2 featured a lower-mounted engine, 13-inch wheels and a lightweight fibreglass body by Zagato, reducing weight while increasing rigidity and aerodynamic efficiency. Powered by a 1.6-litre twin-cam engine producing 170 bhp, it quickly established itself as one of the most competitive Italian sports cars of its era.

Developed by Autodelta, Alfa Romeo’s official racing department, the TZ2 achieved class victories at the Monza 1000 Km and the Targa Florio, while also competing at the Nürburgring 1000 Km. Among the drivers who helped shape its competition legacy was Florentine racer Romano Martini, who won the 1966 Italian Sports Car Championship in the up-to-1,600 cc class.

Today, it remains one of the most significant and authentic competition Alfa Romeos of the 1960s.

At Anantara Concorso Roma, this extraordinary Alfa Romeo TZ2 Zagato was awarded CLASSE VIII – VESTITE LEGGERE DA ZAGATO.
