This fun group visited from the Big Apple this past Easter weekend to celebrate brother Tony's birthday! They had originally booked to stay at another hotel, but due to a bad experience they found themselves reserving a last minute stay here with us! Though they had an unfortunate start to their experience here in Rome, we're so glad we could be apart of making sure the rest of their trip was perfect!✨

Every ancient building in Rome has a rich and intriguing history, and the same is true for our hotel. Boutique Hotel Monte Cenci is located along the Tiber River in one of the multiple family mansions built for the Cenci family. The Cenci family were nobles whose lineage dated back to imperial Rome. Beyond their years of being a very well known, wealthy family, they are most famously known for the ex*****on of the 22 year old daughter of Francesco Cenci, Beatrice. After a lifetime of abuse to her and her family, Beatrice, her brother and step-mother formulated a plan to murder Francesco. Initially, they were successful and the murder was considered an accident, but shortly after, the case was reopened due to rising popularity. The family and their hired hitmen were then tortured and executed, leaving the Cenci estate to Pope Clement VIII. To this day, Beatrice Cenci is remarked as an icon for abused women.

Situated between some of Rome’s most famous attractions such as the Pantheon, Jewish Ghetto, Piazza Navona and much more, Hotel Monte Cenci is a combination of exceptional history and modern flair. Our contemporary designed and luxury focused hotel opened its doors August 25th 2016, and has only continued to improve with each and every year.

Jewish Ghetto
