Surrounding the fields around the Masseria, and scattered across the whole Salento countryside, the “pagghiare”, ancient dry-stone shelters, were built by generations of farmers, without mortar or architects, using only the stone gathered from the surrounding fields.

Their conical, rising forms are at once remarkably simple and ingeniously precise: places to store tools and crops, shelter from the summer heat, and, in their larger forms, even temporary homes for farming families.

More than just a rustic shelter, the pajara is a living fragment of Salento’s rural history, an architecture shaped by necessity, memory and an intimate knowledge of the land.

🌿 Ci sono luoghi in cui soggiornare. E luoghi in cui rallentare.

Aprire la porta al mattino.
Nessun corridoio.
Nessun rumore.
Solo la luce che entra nella stanza, il verde davanti agli occhi e quella sensazione rara di non dover essere da nessun'altra parte.

A Masseria Palaci il lusso non ha bisogno di farsi notare.
È nello spazio.
Nel silenzio.
Nei materiali che raccontano la Puglia.
Nel dialogo tra la storia di un'antica masseria e la semplicità del design contemporaneo.

È svegliarsi circondati dagli ulivi e sapere che, poco più in là, vi aspettano il mare e le spiagge del Salento.
Ma forse il vero privilegio è un altro:
avere finalmente tempo.
Tempo per una colazione senza fretta.

The best relief during a hot day in our own private piece of sea.
Our semi-olympic 25 metres swimming pool was crafted around the color and feeling of the water in Castro Marina, a nearby marine paradise.
