A boat ride as the sun goes down, waking up by the lake early in the morning, a dinner that lasts a little longer than usual.

🇬🇧 There comes a moment, towards the end of August, when you start counting the days you have left.
So you head out early, spend the whole afternoon in the water and return to the shore only when the light is already beginning to fade.

Here, summer comes to an end slowly 💚

🇩🇪 Gegen Ende August kommt dieser Moment, in dem man beginnt, die verbleibenden Urlaubstage zu zählen.
Dann startet man früh in den Tag, bleibt den ganzen Nachmittag im Wasser und kehrt erst ans Ufer zurück, wenn das Licht bereits sanfter wird.

Hier geht der Sommer ganz langsam zu Ende 💚

Children are always the first to spot it. And before long, they are the ones deciding what goes into the basket 💚

🇬🇧 During the botanical workshop, children learn to recognise plants by touching them: oregano crumbling between their fingers, basil releasing its fragrance even before they brush against it, and tomatoes growing almost one centimetre a day in summer.

Then comes the best discovery of all: the herb garden stays there throughout the entire holiday.
Some children return every morning to check on the plants they watered 💚

🇩🇪 Im botanischen Workshop lernen die Kinder, Pflanzen durch Berührung zu erkennen: Oregano, der zwischen den Fingern zerbröselt, Basilikum, das duftet, noch bevor man es berührt, und Tomaten, die im Sommer fast einen Zentimeter pro Tag wachsen.

Dann kommt die schönste Entdeckung: Der Kräutergarten bleibt während des gesamten Urlaubs bestehen.
Manche Kinder schauen jeden Morgen vorbei, um nach den Pflanzen zu sehen, die sie gegossen haben 💚

🇮🇹 Al laboratorio botanico si impara a riconoscere le piante toccandole: l'origano che si sbriciola tra le dita, il basilico che profuma anche se non lo sfiori, il pomodoro che d'estate cresce quasi un centimetro al giorno.

Poi la scoperta più bella: l'orto aromatico resta lì tutta la vacanza. C'è chi passa ogni mattina a controllare come stanno le piante che ha annaffiato 💚

🇬🇧You set off in the morning, while the lake is still calm.
You walk among sculpted hedges and bougainvillea, admire Lake Garda from beneath a stone arch and spend a few hours in a place that seems to belong to another time.

Then you return. And that evening, viewed from the shore, the island is no longer just a distant silhouette.

🇩🇪Am Morgen geht es los, während der See noch ganz ruhig daliegt.
Man spaziert zwischen kunstvoll geschnittenen Hecken und Bougainvilleen, blickt unter einem steinernen Torbogen auf den Gardasee und verbringt einige Stunden an einem Ort, der aus einer anderen Zeit zu stammen scheint.
Dann geht es zurück. Und am Abend ist die Insel vom Ufer aus nicht mehr nur eine ferne Silhouette.

Die geführte Besichtigung der Isola del Garda startet jeden Mittwoch um 9:15 Uhr direkt von unserer Anlage aus.

🇮🇹 Si parte al mattino, con il lago ancora fermo.
Si cammina tra siepi disegnate e bouganville, si guarda il Garda da sotto un arco di pietra, e si trascorrono alcune ore in un luogo che sembra appartenere a un altro tempo.
Poi si torna. E la sera, dalla riva, quell'isola non è più solo un profilo lontano.
