The headboard that now accompanies our guests’ rest was once the door to one of the original rooms.
During the restoration, we chose to give every door a new purpose, transforming each one into the headboard of the room it now belongs to, allowing the wood to take on a new role while preserving the memory of the one before.
Every grain, every mark, every imperfection belongs to the time it has lived through. Today, it continues to be part of that story in a different way.
Perhaps preserving means just this: giving continuity to what already exists, recognizing its value, and allowing it to keep living.

La testiera che oggi accompagna il riposo degli ospiti era un tempo la porta di una delle camere originali.
Durante il restauro abbiamo scelto di dare a ogni porta una nuova funzione, trasformandola nella testiera della camera che oggi la custodisce, lasciando che il legno trovasse una nuova forma senza perdere la memoria di quella precedente.
Ogni venatura, ogni segno, ogni imperfezione appartiene al tempo che l’ha attraversata. Oggi continua a farne parte, in modo diverso.
Forse custodire significa proprio questo: dare continuità alle cose, riconoscere il valore di ciò che già esisteva e lasciare che continui a vivere.
