We would like to sincerely thank Maurizio Marinella, patron of E. Marinella, for personally spending time with us at Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento and sharing the value behind Neapolitan sartorial tradition: the craftsmanship of a tie, the importance of how it is worn, and the meaning carried by even the smallest gesture.

His presence reminded us that true luxury is often found in attention. In the willingness to personally guide, explain and take care of people.

Francis Marion Crawford comes to life at Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento.

On the occasion of the first edition of the Departure Lounge Travel Masterclass, a celebration of the “Art of Hospitality,” at the very heart of our hotel and the entire region, a selected group of the world’s most influential luxury travel advisors experienced a truly immersive moment.

Alongside the exploration of the destination’s iconic landmarks, we curated a live performance in which Francis Marion Crawford, an American writer who lived in Sorrento in the late 19th century and after whom the street hosting Hotel Mediterraneo is named, was brought symbolically back to life through the interpretation of actor .

A narrative suspended between reality and theatre, where Crawford guided guests through the pages of his book The Children of the King and his deep connection to Sorrento, transforming the concept of heritage into a living experience and enhancing the territory through the power of storytelling.
