Wonderful day, sunny day, Sunday and Madelief’s birthday; the perfect excuse to enjoy these last days of summer with a lovely sandwich and walk in Bobbio, followed by jumping, splashing, catching little fish and soaking up the sun along the River Trebbia.

Some lovely moments from the charming Italian-English micro wedding of Giulia & Craig at Bacialupo.

Our first real wedding at Bacialupo and what a special one it was! An emotional Federico had the honour of celebrating the civil ceremony of this wonderful couple, accompanied by live background music. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a lovely aperitif in the garden, followed by lunch in our new porch overlooking the hills.

Thank you, Giulia & Craig, for choosing Bacialupo for such a special day. It was a pleasure to be part of it, and we wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness and beautiful adventures together! 🥂🤍

Just a few posts from Bacialupo, as we’ve been super busy this summer with two new apartments and lots of lovely guests! ❤️

This beautiful drawing was made by our daughters for my birthday. Partly inspired by a photo from a year ago, and partly imagined — I love it so much. 🥰

It perfectly captures our Instagram break this summer: we’re mostly busy here at Bacialupo, welcoming guests and enjoying the craziness of the hot season, but once a week we escape for a little summer time — either at the beach in Liguria or by the river Trebbia. 🌊☀️

So, not much posting from us… but plenty of living, laughing, cooking, swimming and enjoying summer offline. 😉

Today we celebrated our amazing boy’s 9th birthday, after high up in the trees, conquering climbing challenges, at the Adventure Park in Salice Terme! Happy 9th Birthday!

Our newest and largest apartment, Cà A Canto, has just become available during the high season from August 3rd to August 18th.

The apartment features a spacious kitchen, a large living room, two comfortable bedrooms, and a beautiful terrace overlooking the rolling hills of Oltrepò Pavese.

Just shared a wonderful weekend with a dear friend from my university days.

The first photo was taken during a beautiful w**e festival organized by Vignaioli Indipendenti – Oltrepò Pavese delegation (.oltrepopavese), hosted at the stunning Frecciarossa w**ery (**ery). The second captures a lovely walk starting from Golferenzo, surrounded by the peaceful hills of Oltrepò Pavese.

And the third photo… a little adventure with Bianca! She suddenly decided to chase a deer into the woods, leaving us calling her name loud enough to wake the entire countryside. Every dog, bird, and rooster answered us — except Bianca. Thankfully, my friend eventually managed to find her safe and sound.

Great to share life, nature, good w**e, and friendship here in the beautiful Oltrepò Pavese! 💋
