In the heart of the Apennines between Tuscany and Emilia, and very close to Modena and Maranello, this antique Mill built in stone has been refurbished respecting traditional local architecture. "Il Mulino di Valle" - this is the name of the mill operating until the 70s for the local community - is surrounded by a large garden, endless mature woods, as well as acres of fields and running streams.
The remains of the ancient mill are still kept inside and outside the house, for our guests to travel back in time with the calm sound of running water. Deep at the end of a valley, where two rivers and a creek finally meet, our summers are fresh and winters show just enough to be enjoyed. Many are the facilities for excursions on foot and by mountain bike on tracks among wonderful surroundings, such as Bucamante waterfalls. Guests could also visit Maranello 15 minutes away (Ferrari F1 car Museum), Sassuolo with a very nice thermal spa, the beautiful castle of Vignola where it is possible to visit the inside, the Museum of the Basalmic Vinegar in Spilamberto or the Museum of the Rose at less than 10 minutes drive. The National Park of Sassi di Roccamalatina is a must see on a beautiful day for touring around beautiful sceneries and great hikes. This is also the heart of the celebrated Emilia-Romagna's traditional food and worldwide unique production of Basalmic Vinegar and Wine: which some of its unequal product can be tasted within Il Mulino di Valle. Old ancestral production of wine or small private high quality Basalmic Vinegar has been aged many years for our guests to taste. Within a 5 minutes walk across the beautiful village of Valle, you can also find yourself sitting at a table of an ancient castle, in front of a unique traditional meal served by the restaurant La Balugola which is renown across the region for its quality and specialities. Two km on the opposite side, ''Il forno di Pazzano'', a traditional wood oven bakery offers a unique product with variety between Organic bread, cakes and special spelt and barley flour.
