LA VILLA VON KOSERITZ
Il nome Villa Cortine arriva a fine '800. Il Conte Kurt Von Koseritz acquistò il parco di circa 5 ettari e, nel 1898, fece iniziare i lavori di costruzione. La facciata della Villa rispetta un rigoroso stile neoclassico, con grandi colonne a sostegno della facciata. I pregiatissimi marmi veronesi sono stati fatti arrivare, su chiatte, via Lago e sono tutt'ora apprezzabili gli

affreschi, le vetrate colorate ed alcuni mobili dell’epoca. L’inizio della Prima Guerra Mondiale decretò il rientro in patria di Von Koseritz il quale morì senza lasciare eredi. Il Parco e la Villa divennero, negli anni, prima di proprietà del Comune di Sirmione, di proprietà di vari privati, ai quali si deve anche la costruzione della nuova ala, e bottino di guerra. Oggi è patrimonio della Famiglia Ghidini, noti industriali bresciani.

The Gardenia Terrace overlooks Lake Garda, set among antique columns, cypress trees, and lemon trees.
