Few places in the Mediterranean combine nature, history, and mythology as beautifully as Punta Campanella.

Located at the extreme tip of the Sorrento Peninsula, Punta Campanella marks the point where the Gulf of Naples meets the Gulf of Salerno. For centuries, this rocky promontory has been a landmark for sailors navigating these waters, a strategic outpost overlooking one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Italy.

The ancient watchtower visible in the landscape is part of the defensive system built to protect the coast from pirate raids, while the lighthouse continues a centuries-old tradition of guiding vessels through these seas. But Punta Campanella is not only a place of history: according to legend, it was here that Ulysses heard the enchanting song of the Sirens described in Homer’s Odyssey.
