La Pergola restaurant, on a terrace overlooking the sea, offers authentic local cuisine with excellent local products. The cellar is housed in the premises of the ancient cisterns of the Roman villa. A commitment to art that becomes a commitment to Sorrento.
As part of the Museo Correale’s “Adotta un’opera” initiative, Bellevue Syrene chose to support the restoration of Hunting Scene by David de Coninck, funding the conservation of the painting and welcoming the restoration process within the hotel itself.

Over the course of the intervention, the work gradually revealed a renewed clarity and depth: the extraordinary texture of the animals, the figures of the hunters and details long obscured by time emerged once again, restoring the composition to its full visual strength.

On August 31, the restored painting was presented in Sala Mimmo Jodice, before the story of its restoration continued at Villa Pompeiana through images and insights retracing the different stages of the conservation process.

For us, taking part in “Adotta un’opera” means contributing to the preservation of Sorrento’s cultural heritage and nurturing the dialogue between hospitality, art and memory that has always been part of our identity.

Ferragosto found its most Mediterranean expression between sea, music and sky.

On Saturday, August 15, Tra Cielo e Syrene continued with Ferragosto Mediterraneo, a celebration suspended between the vibrant atmosphere of La Pergola and Il Costiera Bar and the refined elegance of the Gala Dinner at Villa Pompeiana.
Seasonal food and beverage experiences, a DJ set by the pool and a live itinerant voice accompanied the rhythm of the evening, leading to the final moment, when fireworks rose from the sea and a drone show illuminated the sky above Sorrento.

A night shaped by light, sound and Mediterranean allure, where summer reached its most memorable horizon.

Under the stars, Tra Cielo e Syrene found one of its most intimate expressions.

On Monday, August 10, the Beach Club hosted S. Lorenzo, an evening inspired by the Italian tradition of the Night of San Lorenzo, when people gather under the summer sky to watch for shooting stars and entrust them with their wishes.

By the sea, among candlelight, soft music and delicate reflections, guests experienced a Box Dinner on the sunbeds, accompanied by our Rosato Donna Elsa, followed by the final spaghetti prepared in live cooking.

Throughout the evening, Astronomitaly guided the gaze towards the stars through a professional telescope, making the night sky part of the experience.

A night shaped by sea, candlelight and celestial beauty, where the poetry of San Lorenzo met the silence of the horizon.

The magic of Sorrento’s historic night returned through the lens of Bellevue Syrene.
On Friday, July 31, Tra Cielo e Syrene continued with Fuochi di S.Anna. The spirit of the “Notte del Paese” came to life through flavours inspired by traditional village celebrations, live music and the quiet anticipation of the fireworks over the sea. From La Pergola to Il Costiera Bar, and within the refined setting of Villa Pompeiana, the evening unfolded as a tribute to Sorrento, its rituals and its summer light.

Una vita dedicata all’arte dell’ospitalità.

Carmine Berton è stato più di uno storico direttore del Bellevue Syrene. Per oltre quarant’anni, è stato una delle voci, dei gesti e delle presenze che hanno contribuito a definire l’identità di questa dimora, portando avanti una visione dell’accoglienza fondata su eleganza, discrezione e sincera dedizione.
Dal suo primo giorno, il 16 maggio 1961, il Bellevue Syrene è entrato nella sua storia, così come lui è entrato nella nostra. Attraverso il suo lavoro, il suo esempio e il libro “Bellevue Hotel Syrene, Sorrento. Duecento anni”, ha lasciato una testimonianza preziosa di memoria, passione e appartenenza.

Oggi, con la targa a lui dedicata, rendiamo omaggio a un uomo la cui eredità continua a vivere tra queste mura, nei valori che ha custodito e nell’idea di ospitalità che ha contribuito a tramandare.

Un tributo a Carmine Berton, e alla storia che ha aiutato a scrivere.
