🇮🇹 Sorrento. "Venerdì Santo. Sacco, cilicio e scapolare. Genesi di un movimento penitenziale".
Mostra organizzata da Comune di Sorrento e Fondazione Sorrento, fino al 31 marzo con ingresso gratuito.
Focus sulle processioni della Settimana Santa: attraverso immagini, simboli e documenti storici originali vengono illustrati i riti che animano la pen*sola sorrentina (probabilmente fin dal XVI secolo) e, molto interessante, viene documentata anche l'attività di altre confraternite presenti sul territorio nazionale e in paesi europei come Spagna e Francia.
Non ci resta che attendere, questa sera Giovedì Santo, la prima delle tre processioni del Triduo pasquale.

Exhibition organized by the Municipality of Sorrento and the Sorrento Foundation, open to the public until March 31st with free admission.
Focus on the Holy Week processions: through images, symbols and original historical documents, the rites that animate (probably since the 16th century) the Sorrento peninsula are illustrated and, very interestingly, also the activity of other brotherhoods present on the national territory and in European countries such as Spain and France is documented.
All we have to do now on this Holy Thursday, is wait for this evening for the first of the three processions of the Easter triduum.
