Ferragosto is more than the height of summer in Italy — it is a moment of tradition, celebration and togetherness. On 15 August, Sorrento comes alive as locals and visitors gather to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption and enjoy one of the most anticipated nights of the summer.

As the evening unfolds, the Gulf of Naples becomes the backdrop for the Ferragosto celebrations, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display around 23:30. ✨

For the best views, head towards Sorrento’s panoramic terraces and sea-facing viewpoints, including the Villa Comunale and the terraces around Marina Grande, where the fireworks can be enjoyed against the unforgettable backdrop of the bay.
