Yesterday our TV crew had lunch at the lovely agriturismo Terra di Solina e Acqua Dolce Rooms facing the town of Capistrano in Abruzzo. We enjoyed a 6th-century tasting menu - the same dishes the ancient Vestini people ate. Our Italian producer said it was among the best meals of his life - that's a true compliment from an Italian! The dishes included lentil soup, polenta made with ancient cicerchie beans, a pecorino ball and spelt pasta with wild boar.
