Welcome to Agriturismo Sovigliano, where you can find nature, green and Chianti culture The big farmhouse of bricks and stones, dates back many centuries.

It is settled in the Chianti hills, 30 minute from Florence and Siena. A careful restoration was done with the expert use of traditional materials. The inside is rustic and cozy. There is a large surrounding Mediterranean garden with lovely romantic corners all around. The location is beautiful and close to the most celebrated places of Tuscany. This makes Sovigliano a special and unique place for

experiencing an unforgettable tuscan holiday. Nature is wisely modeled from centuries of history and rural culture. Breath-taking landscapes, natural fragrances, quietness and discreet hospitality awants the guests needs. It is a warm and intimate environment with an authentic atmosphere.

Avete mai notato questi piccoli fiori rosa che sbocciano direttamente sui rami?

È l’Albero di Giuda (Cercis siliquastrum), una delle fioriture più sorprendenti della primavera 🌿
La sua particolarità? I fiori nascono prima delle foglie e crescono attaccati al legno, creando un effetto davvero unico.

Secondo una leggenda, il nome deriverebbe proprio da Giuda Iscariota: si dice che l’albero su cui si impiccò fosse proprio un cercis, e che per questo i fiori siano diventati di questo colore rosato intenso.

Oggi, per fortuna, è simbolo di rinascita e bellezza spontanea… e nei nostri dintorni regala scorci davvero magici in questo periodo 💗

This is the Judas Tree (Cercis siliquastrum), one of the most striking spring blossoms 🌿
What makes it so special? The flowers appear before the leaves and grow directly from the wood, creating a truly unique effect.

According to legend, its name is linked to Judas Iscariot: it is said that this was the tree he chose, and that its flowers turned this deep pink shade ever since.

Today, thankfully, it’s seen as a symbol of renewal and natural beauty… and around here, it creates truly magical views this time of year 💗
