A due passi da Domus Cavour c’è uno dei portali rinascimentali più belli delle Alpi e oggi puoi vederlo da vicino. La Basilica Madonna di Tirano, eretta dopo l’apparizione della Beata Vergine nel 1504, apre le sue porte per una visita guidata di un’ora. Storia, arte, architettura, raccontate da chi la conosce davvero.

Oggi alle 15.45 (ultima occasione questa settimana), oppure il 5 e il 12 settembre.

Just steps from Domus Cavour stands one of the most important Renaissance facades in the Alps and today you can see it up close. Built after the Virgin Mary’s apparition in 1504, the Basilica opens its doors for a guided hour-long tour: history, art, and architecture told by people who know it best.

Non è un souvenir è pratica: la usi da subito, per esplorare Tirano e la Valtellina senza pensare all’acqua in bottiglia. Nella nostra lounge al piano terra trovi la stazione di ricarica: acqua fresca, gratis, quando vuoi.
Piccolo gesto, meno plastica, più libertà di muoverti.

Scendi dal treno, cammini dieci minuti, e sei già seduto a tavola. Cavour15 è il ristorante di Domus Cavour: ci si arriva a piedi, ci si resta per ore. Bresaola, pizzoccheri, un bicchiere di vino locale... nessuna fretta, solo il tempo di respirare e godersi il primo pasto in Valtellina

Nobody tells you about this terrace.

Most people book Tirano for the Bernina Express. Fair enough, it’s why the town exists on most itineraries. But there’s a rooftop here that most guests don’t expect: mountain silhouettes at dusk, the old bell tower lit up in the distance, and a spot to sit with a glass of wine before the trains even start running in the morning.

It’s not on the tour. It’s just upstairs.
