A new chapter for La Moscadella ❤️

We’ve been a little quiet here lately… but certainly not because nothing has been happening!
Between taking care of our lovely guests and making plans for next year, the days have simply flown by.
Today I’d love to share something important with you.
From April 2027, La Moscadella will welcome adults and families with children aged 14 and over.
It’s a decision we’ve taken with a lot of thought and care.
La Moscadella has become such a special part of my life. I’ve watched this old, beautiful house come alive, find its personality and become a place where people genuinely feel at home.
And I’ve learned that sometimes taking better care of people also means understanding what makes a place special and preserving it.
At La Moscadella, it’s the peaceful mornings, the long conversations around the breakfast table, the quiet afternoons in the garden, the pleasure of a good meal and that lovely feeling of having all the time in the world.
We want to give our guests more of this.
And please don’t think we’ve forgotten about families with younger children! They have always been part of our story and always will be. At Casa Moricciani, Le Casine di Castello and Cretaiole, there’s plenty of room for little ones to run around, play and discover Tuscany. Just as holidays should be!
Meanwhile, we’re putting lots of love into making La Moscadella even more enjoyable, with new wellbeing experiences and a little bistro-style lunch service.
None of this would be possible without our wonderful team of 25. We work hard, we laugh, we sometimes have our difficult days too, but we care about each other and about our guests. I want La Moscadella to be a happy place not only for them, but also for the people who make it all happen.
I don’t dream of a bigger La Moscadella, but of one where we keep doing things a little better, with more time, more attention and more care for everyone.
So here we are, getting ready for another chapter, with a few changes, lots of ideas and the same enthusiasm.
Thank you for being part of it, for coming back and for making this little house feel so alive.

Some weeks have passed since Niccolò and Leonie’s wedding, and I think I needed a little time to let all the emotions settle before trying to put them into words.
What I remember most about that day is their joy. It was so clear and so genuine that I think it simply spread to everyone around them. Watching them begin this new chapter together was beautiful. Of course, Niccolò is my son, so I may not be completely impartial 😊, but seeing two people so deeply connected, so happy together and, above all, such good friends really filled my heart!
I’ve also thought a lot about what these days meant for our families. Leonie’s family and so many friends came from Germany and other parts of the world to be here with us. Different languages, stories and traditions somehow mixed together very naturally. There was curiosity, warmth, lots of talking and laughing, and the feeling that people genuinely enjoyed discovering one another. I loved that.
Leonie planned every detail with incredible care. Behind that day were months of work, attention and love, together with the involvement of the Moricciani family, who contributed with enthusiasm and affection.
It was also a special joy for me to welcome so many family members and friends into our home, La Moscadella, and to give Nicco and Leo our most beautiful room for their first night as husband and wife! 🤩
Gathering everyone again for brunch the following day was a lovely way to make the celebration last just a little longer, to spend more time together and to feel that, somehow, we were already becoming one family.
Our team also shared these days with us in a very special way. Being able to offer the hospitality we are so proud of for such an important moment in our own family meant a lot to me. I want to thank each and every person who works with us for the dedication, sensitivity and affection with which they accompanied us.
But in the end, what stays with me most is a very simple image: my son, happy beside the woman he loves 💙
For a mother, it is difficult to imagine a greater gift.

Living in Castelmuzio has changed the way I see beauty.
When you live this close to nature, you learn that every season has its own time.
Almost every morning, someone walks through the garden and brings a little of it inside. A few stems of lavender. A rose. A flowering branch. Whatever the garden has to offer that day.
I’ve always loved fresh flowers, not just because they are beautiful, but because they bring life into a home.
No arrangement is ever planned. We simply see what the garden has given us that morning and find the right place for it.
Maybe that’s why our home changes a little every day… just like the garden outside 😊

Everyday life can feel so busy.
There is always something asking for our attention. Maybe that is why I wanted to create a place like this. Not to escape life, but to make room for a different rhythm. A slower morning, a quiet moment in the garden, a long conversation around the table. The simple pleasure of having nowhere else to be.
Perhaps that is why so many guests tell us they sleep better here, linger longer over breakfast, or find themselves doing something they rarely do at home: absolutely nothing. Even Mr Mish seems to have mastered that art!

More than anything, I wanted this to be a place where people could simply feel at ease. Not just surrounded by beauty, but by a genuine sense of peace.
