The extensive lighting renovation of the Ashdod Museum of Art was carried out based on a project by Hilla Mayer, featuring a cutting-edge infrastructure capable of supporting a wide variety of temporary exhibitions while enhancing the museum’s distinctive spatial character.

Passage spaces were treated with restraint through minimal linear lighting and precisely positioned TicTok spotlights by formalighting, reducing visual clutter while maintaining maximum curatorial flexibility.

Sustainability was placed at the core of the project: the lighting system prioritises modular luminaires with long-life LED technology, replaceable components, and excellent colour rendering (CRI 95–97+), ensuring both energy efficiency and accurate artwork presentation. Individual dimming on each fixture allows intuitive operation without reliance on complex control systems, reducing long-term operational demands while enabling curators to adapt lighting conditions for each exhibition.

Claudia Giacomobello: “Light fascinates and inspires me, being the soul of the design process: a kind of magic, an intangible element that can completely transform the perception of objects, spaces, and contexts.
Aware of the power it holds, I love to use it with creativity, sensitivity, and respect in every project. Designing light and shadow, always in new ways, to paint tailored atmospheres for each individual client is a form of manifestation, one that begins with listening and a genuine desire to care for others.”

Claudia Giacomobello: “Light influences my mood, my energy, and the way I experience everyday moments. It’s the spark I seek each morning to face the day with a smile, as well as the gentle touch that warms my heart at the end of it.
It’s like a friend with two outfits , both natural and artificial, to be worn thoughtfully, shaping spaces and moments into something intimate or meant to be shared.”

The challenge for Light Scene, who took care of the lighting design of this stunning loft in Milan, was to work within the constraints of an existing lighting infrastructure, adapting to the pre-existing electrical system while approaching the domestic environment as if it were an art gallery. The project successfully combines functional and emotional lighting, with a strong focus on enhancing the artworks throughout the space.

The artworks themselves were illuminated using dedicated custom-made solutions developed specifically for the project. MOTOLUX motorised fixtures proved to be the perfect ally within a space characterised by generous ceiling heights, allowing spotlights to be controlled directly from the ground via App, while managing beam aiming, colour temperature, and dimming levels with maximum flexibility.

👉It was a pleasure to contribute to the creation of such a refined and captivating project!

✨Among the highlights of [d]arc sessions, key for us is staying up to date, experiencing firsthand the latest innovations in the world of lighting, and connecting face to face.

We’ve just returned from four inspiring days filled with meaningful conversations around new projects, shared ideas, and exciting collaboration opportunities with new architects and lighting designers. It was also wonderful to reconnect with so many familiar faces from across our lighting community.

What makes the experience even more special are the stimulating seminars curated by darc media, all set against the breathtaking landscapes chosen for the event: this time, in beautiful Sicily.

Thanks to Ettore and Valeria from our team, and to all the designers with whom we had inspiring discussions and the opportunity to present our latest innovations.

💡Our ZERO MONO POINT was recognised as Best Kit (Interior) at the darc awards 2025.

Chosen by the international design community, including independent designers, architects, interior designers, and product designers, the project received the highest honour in its category.

The ZERO MONO POINT is a revolutionary miniature recessed lighting system featuring interchangeable components, designed for seamless integration into showcases and display environments.

Defined by its minimal aesthetic, complete integration within furnishings, and exceptional flexibility, it delivers the highest quality illumination for spaces and displayed objects alike.

Engineered for highly precise accent lighting and outstanding optical performance, the system features LED sources with a Colour Rendering Index of up to 97 and selectable colour temperatures between 2700K and 3000K. At its core is an ultra-shallow 13 mm recessed depth, allowing the fixture to sit perfectly flush with the surface while preserving the purity of the surrounding architecture.

The collection includes a family of compatible miniature modules, of Ø8 mm, Ø12 mm, Ø15 mm, and Ø25 mm, offering maximum design freedom across a wide range of applications.

💡We’ve been waiting for it, and it’s finally here: MOTO-ZERO FRAMING PROJECTOR joins our family of motorized fixtures, bringing all the outstanding features of this high-precision gem into the MOTOLUX PRO range.

Designed for curators and lighting designers, it allows the projection of precise beams of light that enhance artworks in galleries and museums, leaving the background in darkness for a truly magical effect.

Powered by CASAMBI™ control technology, it features integrated memory that allows the fixture to instantly recall pre-recorded settings for position, color temperature, and dimming levels. Controlled via app, it can be operated directly from the ground, making it an essential solution for spaces with high ceilings.

Precision step motors drive smooth 90° vertical tilt and 330° horizontal pan movement. The built-in bidirectional zooming lens includes adjustable sharpness and full lens rotation.

✨What an exciting evening celebrating the Darc Awards 2025 ceremony!

We are incredibly proud to have supported Nulty in the creation of the Life Imitates Art installation, along with the unspeakable joy of an award that truly made us proud: 1st place – BEST LIGHTING PRODUCTS_KIT_INTERIOR 2025 with our ZERO MONO POINT. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Still buzzing, we watched countless guests immerse themselves in the "Life Imitates Art" installation, designed to explore how light can both influence and be influenced by art, creating a true symbiosis. The result was a 360° dynamic lighting experience, where our motorized MOTOLUX fixtures, activated by motion sensors, made the installation even more vibrant and interactive.

Sustainability was also key: the installation was created using waste materials, broken fixtures, and production scraps to reduce the use of virgin resources, while also fostering reuse and recycling of lighting components. A special thanks goes to everyone involved in bringing this installation to life.

✨The exhibition “The New State of Materials” is finally open, featuring the installation ORNAMENTALE, which is the result of the expertise and vision of lighting design studio D'Alesio&Santoro, combined with the technological and manufacturing know-how of formalighting.

A lush wall will welcome you, showcasing a family of lighting products with phyto-stimulating LED spectrum, designed starting from the real needs of plants without affecting the color quality of the surrounding environment.

ORNAMENTALE integrates seamlessly into any space, enabling lighting designers, architects and landscapers to treat indoor greenery as an integral part of the project, supported by a dedicated manual for its application.

In the lighting masterplan by Romano Baratta for the Municipality of Gallarate, light becomes a medium to reveal the city’s history, identity, and atmosphere. At the heart of the project lies the concept of a “Visual Guide”: a layered narrative of light that reveals Gallarate’s distinctive architectural features, historical layers, and often-overlooked details. It gently guides residents and visitors through the historic center, while allowing each area to retain its own identity.

We supported the project with a fully customised outdoor lighting solution, supplying 170 units of the Volume projector, tailored to the site’s specific architectural conditions and visual requirements. Integrated with a Casambi wireless control system, the installation ensures precise control, scene flexibility, and long-term adaptability. This approach allows the lighting to evolve over time, responding to seasonal changes, civic events, and future urban needs.

Inspired by the wind and sailing, I design dynamic and adaptive atmospheres: small, everyday scenographies in which light becomes a silent and free protagonist."
