Hans Hartung – T1975-H34 (1975)

One of the leading figures of 20th-century European Art Informel, Hans Hartung developed a unique visual language through gesture, rhythm and abstraction. Created in 1975, T1975-H34 is part of his celebrated "scraped" series, where acrylic mixed with latex is drawn across the canvas using a custom-made toothed spatula, creating striking parallel textures and a vibrant sense of depth.

During the 2026 Venice Biennale, the Fondation Hartung-Bergman, in collaboration with , presents The Invisible Chord. Hans Hartung and Music at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, on view from May 5 to November 24, 2026.
